The New York Giants should call Russell Wilson and offer him little to nothing to compete

Hear me out Giants fans, I know this is not what you want to hear, but let’s face it you gave Daniel Jones a ton of money to be your starting quarterback.

There are rumors now that the Giants have buyer’s remorse for signing Jones to such a lucrative contract. So what are they going to do? They cannot go out and sign another player to a huge contract, but they need someone who can come in and compete.

I get the hype for Tommy DeVito but that is not the answer either. Brian Daboll is a good coach, he can win with a decent quarterback. So why not Russell Wilson?

I mean who else is going to pay Russell Wilson to compete? I do not think the market is going to be very great for the former Broncos quarterback.

So the Giants can get an insurance policy in Wilson, to come in and compete with Jones who suffered an ACL injury last year and DeVito.

Wilson will be owed a ton of money by the Broncos, so he will not be hurting for money. I would offer him a prove it deal with the chance of getting paid on incentives. Yep, you read that right an incentive based contract, to prove you can compete and win. If Wilson gets the G-Men to the playoffs, he gets paid more. It is not hard, and they get a savvy veteran to compete right now.

If Wilson cannot beat out Jones, then you have a solid back-up. Who says no?
