Suspect in murder of former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive back captured in New York

A man responsible for the murder of former NFL defensive back Antonio Dennard has been arrested for the killing.
Jose Daniel Pizarro, 26, was apprehended inside an apartment building in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.
Dennard played cornerback for the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, and Jacksonville Jaguars during his career.
The former NFL player was fatally shot in 2022 outside of a motel and nightclub in Pennsylvania.
Pizarro was identified as a suspect in October 2022 for the fatal shooting of Antonio Dennard, 32, and an arrest warrant was issued for homicide and related charges.
Pizarro was arrested and will face the murder charges. Dennard played college football at Langston University before entering the NFL.
