Eagles are expected to release safety Kevin Byard

The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to release former Middle Tennessee State prospect Kevin Byard. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Eagles are expected to cut ties with the star safety after they made a trade for him in 2023.
Byard had 75 tackles, an interception, and three passes defensed in 10 games with the Eagles. He had 47 tackles and a fumble recovery for the Titans before the trade.
The eight-year vet was named a first-team All-Pro twice during his time with Tennessee. I would not be shocked if he is signed very soon by a team. He is a very good player with great ball skills.
Releasing Byard will clear over $13 million off the salary cap in Philadelphia.
