Georgia Football 4-star recruit retires from football after discovering heart issue

Georgia Bulldogs four-star recruit Pearce Spurlin will step away from the game he loves after discovering he is suffering from a medical condition.
Spurlin, a former 4-star tight end will have to walk away from football after learning he has a congenital heart condition.
This is a huge blow, because Spurlin would have had a solid shot at taking over the tight end position for the Bulldogs with Brock Bowers leaving for the NFL.
The cool thing is Kirby Smart the teams head coach will keep him on scholarship.
“We care deeply for Pearce and he will remain on scholarship and part of our program,” Smart said.
Spurlin was 2023 signings and caught three passes for 60 yards as a freshman. He was the number 2 rated tight end in the country.
