Player Summary:

6th YR RS SR and 4 yr full-time starter on the OL where he aligns as a LT in the gap and zone blocking scheme of WYUN. He possesses excellent height with solid weight and elite speed with adequate length and an athletic build. He is an above-average athlete showing a combination of good acceleration, lateral quickness and agility with solid COD and explosiveness, adequate balance and very good play speed. He is a good run blocker. On OZ, he is quick out of his stance before latching on and generates movement at the POA against EDGE with ordinary size with his solid foot drive and grip strength. When reaching to the second level, he effectively uses his quality play speed and good FBI to take good angles and displays sufficient play strength to overpower LB and DB with adequate explosiveness. On double teams, he gets hip to hip with the OG and drives the 3T with subpar physical toughness several yards off the ball. He displays solid finish ability as he exhibits good physical toughness as he finishes the block to the ground against EDGE with average size and balance. In pass pro, he plays with a good, wide base and keeps his feet moving. He displays sufficient play strength as he anchors against EDGE with average get-off and size. He displays good reactive athleticism as he reads the defense and picks up stunts and twists from IDL with ordinary lateral quickness and agility. He plays with solid mental toughness as he elevates his play in the red zone. He exhibits ordinary UOH while run blocking and in pass pro due to adequate hand placement as he struggles to keep his hands inside consistently. He displays subpar flexibility which prevents him from bending at the knee allowing EDGE with good hip and ankle flexion to get under his pads. He struggles to consistently keep his weight over his toes causing him to be off-balanced.

Scheme Fit:

OT in zone scheme.

Power Statement:

Athletic, tough, experienced player who is solid overall as a run blocker and in pass pro. Subpar flexibility prevents him from bending at the knee. Lack of quality UOH prevents him from consistently keeping his hands inside.
