Detroit Lions cut CB Cameron Sutton following his arrest warrant in Florida

Today, the Detroit Lions cut their starting cornerback Cameron Sutton.
The Lions starting cornerback Cameron Sutton who was signed last season to a three-year deal worth 33 million was cut following a police warrant issued in Florida for domestic violence.
The Lions released this statement.
“We became aware of the ongoing legal situation involving Cam Sutton this morning,” the statement read. “We will continue to monitor the situation and will not have further comment at this time.”
Sutton, 29, signed in March of 2023 after six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who selected him in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
He started all 17 regular-season games with the Lions, posting 65 tackles, an interception, one forced fumble and six passes defensed. He started Detroit’s three playoff games as well, adding eight tackles and breaking up three passes.
