Ryan Leaf is regarded as one of the biggest draft busts in NFL history, but he was a very solid college quarterback. Leaf is now looking at Caleb Williams the USC gunslinger and discussing his future.

Leaf feels Williams game will not translate to the NFL Draft.

“75% of what made him so great in college is not transferable to the NFL,” Leaf said. “He’s not going to be able to do that. He can’t do what he did in college 75% of the time and be successful at the NFL level. He can do the 25% at the NFL level, but he needs some time.

“I do love Michael Penix. It’s tough for me to say, you know Washington-Washington State. I just think he’s the most accurate down-the-field passer I’ve seen come out of college in I can’t tell you,” Leaf concluded.

Over three seasons, Williams recorded 10,082 passing yards, 93 passing touchdowns, 14 interceptions, and 27 rushing touchdowns. He won the 2022 Heisman Trophy and Maxwell Award while also earning consensus All-American honors for the Trojans.

We know the Bears are All-In on Caleb Williams now after trading Justin Fields, but could Ryan Leaf be right on Williams?
