What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
My father played professionally and it was in the family. So I wanted to play football as soon as I could.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Winning a conference championship game in 2023 and hosting playoff games in the 2023 season.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I’d love to join a team and help contribute to a winning culture.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Mike Webster, the longtime Steelers center, I’d love to see what his mindset was and how he made so many consecutive starts.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My father, he’s been a role model throughout my life and his athletic accomplishments and he has always been inspiring me.
What is your favorite scheme and why?
Gap schemes specifically power and counter, I like the concepts for A)to get offensive linemen in space and B) the ability to get quality double teams.
What should we know about Michael Bertoia the person?
I would say I’m a hard working and committed athlete that’s dedicated to perfecting my craft.
What stands out about your film the most?
Physicality. I believe I bring a physical element to the game not everyone can replicate.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I take time to reassess, reevaluate and learn from the challenge.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A team would get a position versatile physical lineman that’s dedicated to consistently improving.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
I love physically moving someone against their will.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Jack Kelly, his ability to bend and get off the ball is unlike most I’ve encountered.
