Former 3x Super Bowl winner arrested in Florida for hit-and-run
Former 3x Super Bowl Champion Tim McKyer was arrested in Florida this week after he was accused of crashing into multiple parked cars before fleeing the scene.
McKyer allegedly slammed his Tesla into five vehicles on Sunday in a Riviera Beach parking garage. McKyer smashed some of the cars. According to police, all the cars were parked at the time and had visible damage, with some left inoperable.
McKyer then left the garage without notifying anyone. Riviera Beach Police Dept. officers made contact with McKyer a short time later and they claim he showed signs of inebriation. Police say he smelled like alcohol.
McKyer was taken into custody for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. He was ultimately arrested and booked on five total charges of hit and run.
McKyer played in the NFL for 12 years winning Super Bowls in ’89, ’90 and ’98. He won a Super Bowl with both the 49ers and the Broncos.
