Calvin Ridley had a huge season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and let’s face it the team needs to keep him in place for the growth of Trevor Lawrence. Well, if the team does re-sign Ridley, they would owe the Atlanta Falcons the 48th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, according to their trade conditions from last year.

The Falcons currently have a third-round pick, No. 79 overall, via Jacksonville.

Ridley finished with 1,016 yards and 8 touchdowns. That is worthy of a 2nd round pick if you ask me.

Trevor Lawrence was asked about keeping Ridley and he is hoping they can get a deal done.

“We took some big strides this year and I know another year playing together, it’s only going to get better. And you got to think about it too, he’s been out for two years; this was his first year back and I thought he did some really great things. He got better every game as the season went on. Our chemistry grew,” Lawrence said.

“So many good things to build on. Just to know that we can be a lot better too is encouraging. I’m hoping that we can get him back and just keep building on what we were able to start this year.”

So will Ridley end up getting a contract extension?
