What was it like playing the 2024 Caribe Royale Orlando Hula Bowl?
It was an amazing experience and opportunity to showcase my talent and the type of person I am to the many NFL scouts who were there. I enjoyed meeting all of the players that were there from across the country as well as the many individuals who were responsible for making that week happen!
What do you think NFL teams feel is your best trait?
As a player, I think they like the fact that I’m a good athlete with size as a long snapper. Overall, I think teams like how I’m a program guy, meaning that I’m accountable, try to do the right things, and I uplift those around me.
Who was your mentor growing up, and what made them a great mentor?
My mentor growing up was my dad because he always pushed me to be the best that I could be both on and off the field. I learned a lot about having a strong work ethic, following your dreams, and focusing on what’s in front of you from him. Looking at how my dad grew up and to where he is now is a constant reminder that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to.
Who was the toughest player you had to face during the week of the Hula Bowl?
The two other long snappers that were at the Hula Bowl, Peter Bowden and Randen Plattner, were very good, so it was great competing with them all week!
What is your favorite television show?
It’s between Game of Thrones and Ted Lasso
What is your degree in?
I received my degree in Health Education from the University of Florida and my Masters in Applied Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My Masters program focused on studying leadership and applying it to a specific field, which was sports management for me.
What is the craziest song in your playlist, that we would not expect?
Boyfriend by Big Time Rush
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL, who would that be?
I would compare my play to James Winchester because he is a taller snapper who does a great job of covering the field after the punt. He also has a quick transition from snap to block.
What does your pre-game meal look like?
I typically would have spaghetti with meat sauce along with garlic bread and some vegetables like broccoli or green beans. Also, I usually add something extra like grilled chicken or potatoes depending on what is available.
Who is your favorite teacher of All-Time?
Many of my coaches have been my favorite teachers based on how they’ve taught me to be a better football player and more importantly a better person. This past year playing under Coach Rhule was special because he did a great job of teaching us valuable life lessons that correlate onto the field. The way he communicates with his players is very effective and genuine because you can tell how much he cares for his players.
We believe in giving back, If you could give back to one amazing charity or foundation what would it be?
I would give back to the Cancer Research Institute because I’ve lost multiple people in my family due to cancer, and this causes funds for research on immunotherapy treatment for all types of cancer.
What is your favorite color?
Green
What is your dream job after football?
I would love to use my football experiences and long-snapping knowledge to help young athletes get college opportunities through long snapping. Another job would be to work in football more on the operations or management side.
