What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Watching my older brother play ball and also when I was in middle school, I discovered I was a decent player.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
I have a few. I scored a touchdown as a defensive tackle from a ball that I force-fumbled from QB. A different game where I got 3 sacks. Last but certainly not least, when I was offered a full athletic scholarship to play football for Wagner College.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
To play professional football and to always help my teammates be better men on and off the field.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
JJ Watt, because he is everything I want to be. He is a leader and a Godly man that people look up to.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My mom inspires me the most because she’s a badass who can do anything.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
As a lineman, I love the 4-2-5. It’s my favorite because the 2 Ends can either stand up or put their hand in the dirt, rush off the edge, or up the run. Have two defensive tackles who can eat up the run and also make plays on passes.
What should we know about Lance DeSorbo the person?
I’m a leader, and a president of bible study while playing football. I just earned my BA in sports administration. I have Integrity and lead by example.
What stands out about your film the most?
How explosive my get-off is and how dominant I am in the run.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
Work through them by however needed and I pray.
What would a team get in a player like you?
They will get a leader, an honest man, a Godly man, and a goofy guy to help calm the nerves.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
I love that football is a team sport. I also love it when me and my brothers got together and did everything the right way and we won. There’s never just one player doing it all.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Jorel Liverpool from Wagner, because he is a great person on and off the field, a leader, and someone people can look up to, and he understands the game perfectly.
