Pittman’s Pocket: Three HBCU players to play in the Hula Bowl
Good afternoon from Tampa to Orlando. The Hula Bowl is on the horizon.
HBCU football fans are you ready for the community to enjoy the Hula Bowl experience? As a Hula Bowl Scout, we are very excited about this year’s event on January 13th, 2024. We are fired up for HBCU Fans, Coaches, and the 3 outstanding young men who are playing in the game. We are grateful to give exposure to the 3-young men playing in the game.
Mikey Victor is a 6’3, 209-pound shutdown cornerback from Alabama State. He had 27 solo tackles, two interceptions, and 13 pass breakups. I evaluated the UCLA game of the 2022 season and he had a terrific game racking up four tackles. He played on the opposite side of Keenan Isaac, who is now playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Davius Richard is a 6’3, 220-pound, gunslinger from North Carolina Central University. Richard finished the year with 2177 yards and 21 touchdowns. Richard is a hell of a player, that won the Celebration Bowl and was an HBCU National Champion in 2022.
Joshua Heyward is a 6’1, 195-pound cornerback from Benedict College who plays with a purpose. Heyward finished with 24 solo tackles, 13 assists, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1 sack. He is also a very solid player who can contribute to special teams as a gunner.
Good Luck this week, We believe in you!
