What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
I always enjoyed the technique aspect and aggression associated with football. I found my love for it in 3rd grade youth football.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
My favorite moment is probably winning the NSIC championship in 2021 and 2022.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I want to continue raising my standard and I want to realize my full potential within a professional football team.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
I would love to hang out with Larry Allen, Jason Kelce, and Aaron Brewer. Allen because he’s my GOAT offensive lineman, and I would like to meet with Kelce and Brewer because they are around the same size as me and I study their games whenever I have the chance.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My mother has always been a huge inspiration for me. She is a veteran firefighter in the Minneapolis area and I’ve seen her accomplish feats that would make my stomach flip. She raised me mostly on her own and imbued me with her senses of hard work and determination.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
I enjoy blocking within a zone scheme, because of my athleticism. Although, I consider myself extremely adaptable to any scheme. And if I can help win games, I will do so in any way that I am asked to.
What should we know about Ty Cobb the person?
I am an outdoorsman, I love spending time in the woods of northern Minnesota fishing and hiking with my dog. I am an avid reader and can connect with anyone because of my communication skills.
What stands out about your film the most?
I feel that my technique and finish show in my film.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I handle my challenges by consulting my friends and family for a different perspective. If they aren’t available, then I will record the steps I take towards beating that challenge through mindfulness.
What would a team get in a player like you?
They would get someone who works harder than anyone. I will learn and adapt to any situation and help the team in any way I possibly can.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
I love the one vs one aspects of football. In the trenches there isn’t too much glory for offensive linemen. But, I love the complexity and violence of each snap that wins games.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
I played with Max Buduris on Bemidji State. He dealt with immense pain his freshman year from appendicitis, but played through it until he couldn’t move. Since then, Max has cemented himself as one of the most quiet and hardworking individual I’ve had the pleasure of playing with. He is tough, strong, smart, and quick. Never shied away from any contact and played through adversity better than anyone I know.
