Former NFL running back Derrick Ward arrested for robbing multiple businesses
Former Super Bowl Champion running back Derrick Ward was arrested in California this week for several robberies in the surrounding area.
The former New York Giants running back is being accused of robbing several businesses including gas stations over a period of time.
The 43-year-old former NFL star was arrested this week. Ward reportedly used force and fear to get money from the stores.
The NFL back was taken into custody on Monday and booked. The website says he is 6′ foot tall and weighs 230 pounds.
Ward’s bail was set at $250,000. His arrest comes several years after previous post-career issues, as he was accused of scamming multiple friends out of money in 2017.
It is sad to see, I remember the 2008 season when Ward rumbled for 215 yards against the Carolina Panthers clinching the number 1 seed in the NFC. Ward finished with 1000 plus yards that season.
