Washington QB Michael Penix give the Texas defense some pretty good bulletin board material before their game
Sometimes it is better to be quiet. Michael Penix the starting quarterback for the Washington Huskies gave the Texas Longhorns some pretty insane bulletin board material this week when talking to the press.
Penix has had a huge year and has been pretty amazing and even had a shot at the Heisman. Well, when talking to the media this week before the Huskies huge match-up with Texas on January 1st, Penix said he is not worried about the Texas D-line.
He called them good, but then said they had not played his O-Line. I hope his O-Line was ready for this comment.
“I’m not going to lie, their D-line is good. But at the same time, they haven’t played our o-line. They play good ball, but I wouldn’t say we’re playing the 49ers’ D-line or the Eagles’ D-line, so we’ll be good,” Penix told the media Thursday, according to Longhorns Country.
Penix better hope his teammates can cash the check he just wrote, because Texas has some pretty damn good football players on their D-Line. It could end up being a long day for the lefty.
