USFL axes four teams to merge with the XFL

With the USFL and XFL merging and taking flight in March of 2024, there will be some major changes. Especially on the USFL front.

Two of the teams that made the 2023 playoffs in the USFL were not brought in on the merger with the XFL.

When the new league kicks off in March 2024, the New Jersey Generals, New Orleans Breakers, Philadelphia Stars and Pittsburgh Maulers will not be part of it.

That leaves the Birmingham Stallions, Houston Gamblers, Memphis Showboats and Michigan Panthers as the only holdovers from the USFL in 2023.

Who will the XFL keep? Will they keep DC, Seattle, San Antonio, and Saint Louis? They did have the best attendance last year.
