Player Summary:
All-CUSA 1st Team at RB. Transferred from ULM this past year after 5 seasons with the Warhawks. Lead back in ALJA RPO scheme. He accounted for less than 25% of total team carries but led them in yards and touchdowns. Has good height but tends to be a little light in his frame. Looks able to add some weight to his frame. Solid speed. Can get to the second-level and go the distance. Patient runner, Good vision, reads gaps well and hits the hole at full speed. Has good lateral quickness in the open field. Can make defenders miss. He displays average power at contact. Has good low center or gravity, allowing him to finish the run falling forward for extra yardage. Exhibits above-average mental toughness as he is reliable as a runner on the goal line and is the go-to option in clutch situations. Limited footage of him being used as a blocker in pass pro. Can be flexed out wide, mostly in the slot. The Swing, Curl, and Go ball are his route combination in this offense. Even in his lack of targets he’s shown good hands on contested and higher difficulty catches.
Scheme Fit:
RB/Zone Scheme
Power Statement:
Jackson is a solid running back with quick burst, homerun speed, and solid hands but lacks size and is a question mark when it comes to pass protection.
