New England Patriots sign Tight End La’Michael Pettway
Written by Karver Jordan
The New England Patriots have signed former USFL Michigan Panther and Birmingham Stallion La’Michael Pettway to the practice squad. The USFL Fan Favorite is a big target and could see time for New England in the final weeks of the season.
College Statistics at Iowa State:
La’Michael Pettway played college at Iowa State where he would have himself quite the career. The 6-foot-2, 223 pound tight end would play in 13 games with Iowa St and would go on to record 55 receptions for 676 yards with six touchdowns.
Spring Football Stint:
Pettway the 26 year old tight end had himself quite the USFL Career, one season with the Michigan Panthers and another season with the Birmingham Stallions. Over the course of the two seasons, the 6-foot-2, 223 pound tight end recorded 32 receptions for 406 yards with four touchdowns.
Karver’s Final Thoughts:
The New England Patriots have added a solid player in La’Michael Pettway, as the season comes to an end I could see the 26 year old getting some reps in game but if not expect him to be signed to future contracts.
