Player Summary:

5th year senior. DT starter. Transferred from Florida. Above-average height and good arm length. Has a flat bubble; would check his squat numbers. Average run defender and average pass rusher with enough athletic ability to be a prospect. Quick first step in both phases of the game, flashes some twitch. As a run defender, he is average. Can occupy multiple blockers and free up other defenders to make the play. Maintains active feet and hands. Has long arms which he can use to lock out, press, and disengage off blocks. Disruptive with good foot speed and is strong in pursuit. Flashed ability to play with a high hand, stay square to ball carriers and wrap up v. run. Decent ability to anchor; plays a little too high which causes him to get bulled back and pancaked. As a pass rusher, he is average. Displays a good first step and takes good angles to the QB. Has a good swim move when he puts it to use but is primarily a bull rusher. Takes good angles to the QB when he gets free; just isn’t dominant enough. Questionable stamina/motor – comes out of the game a lot instead of playing most downs. Has the frame to grow/add weight and be a run plugger at the next level.  Would like to see him develop into a more dominant prospect.

Scheme Fit:

DT.

Power Statement:

Jordan is an average run defender and average pass rusher.  I would like to see him become more dominant in both phases of the game and further develop in the weight room to add bulk and make him a strong interior DT.
