Is Joe Flacco better than Deshaun Watson? Flacco and the Browns clinch the playoffs
Joe Flacco looks like the Flacco of old with the Ravens.
The former Delaware Blue Hen is loving his time in Cleveland and playing lights out. The Browns quarterback is love in Cleveland right now and he should be, because the Browns look like a problem.
Flacco talked to the media last night after clinching the playoffs and said he loves it in Cleveland, and all the support he has received.
“You can’t deny it, I’ve said it from the very beginning, this city has been unbelievable,” Flacco said. “My teammates have been unbelievable in terms of just embracing me onto this football team. It’s all been great. That makes it that much more special to be able to come in here and play some good football.”
And he was pumped to clinch the playoffs in front of the fans that have been so good to him.
“To get it done in front of the home crowd, to get ourselves into that next step of the season, made it extra special,” Flacco said.
Here is the real question though, is Flacco better than Deshaun Watson? The Browns gave Watson one of the most ridiculous contracts ever in the NFL making it fully guaranteed and they are still finding a way to win without him.
DraftKings Sportsbook actually did a poll last night before the game and the Browns fans would rather have Flacco as their quarterback than Watson. I mean 67 percent of the fans want Flacco over Watson. Can the Browns find a way out of his contract, or I guess the better question would be are they willing to chop up the loss?
Either way, the Browns still have a chance at the 1 seed. If Flacco can somehow pull off the 1 seed that would be the most insane thing ever. Stay tuned….
