Player Summary:

5-year letterman, 4-year starter who has 48 starts under his belt. Has a big frame with big arms. Has good reaction off the LOS in pass pro, does a good job initiating contact, has patience when DL slides or stunts when he is zone blocking, mirrors defender off the edge well, keeps inside leverage, trades off defender at point of attack, while moving feet to match defender COD. Has good play recognition, does not stay stationary, always looking for work and adjusting from pre to post snap situations. Does a good job sliding over to assist on combo blocks, gets defenders off balance with solid punch and assists with finishing defenders with chip blocks when necessary. Has good read vs stunts in pass pro, trust eyes coupled with good foot movement. Has good use of hands when run blocking, extends arms at POA to secure while maintaining separation to keep defenders in front. Has good play strength, good bend at point of attack, does not stand straight up, bends and sink hips well to control balance and maintain leverage in pass pro. Displays good play speed in run blocking responsibility, reaches second level defenders and uses good leverage to create a wall for runners. Displays more technique vs athletic movement, not fast off the line of scrimmage when pulling from the tackle position vs guard position. Does not do well vs man blocking defenders that are athletic, fast with good bend off the edge. Does grab defenders when off balance, does not get good hand placement on inside vs defenders that have solid bull rush, coupled with solid use of hands.

Scheme Fit:

Zone/Man Blocking.

Power Statement:

A strong, versatile OL who is a solid asset that can shore up the right side of the LOS.  Has good hand placement to give QB time to throw and move in a clean pocket vs solid DL.
