Player Summary:

Senior.  Transfer from New Mexico State.  Safety starter. Makes calls on defense.   Marginal height but great frame and arm length.  Has a legitimate chance to develop into a good prospect..  Good v. run, above average v. pass.  As a run defender he is good and displays excellent on-field awareness..  Very effective open-field tackler, good instincts, and great closing speed – wastes little time getting from Point A to Point B.  Takes good angles to ball carriers and wraps up.  Can come down from his perch, play in the box and hit.  Very instinctive with good read and reaction skills.  Consistent tackler but not a thumper who can dislodge the ball and force fumbles, based on the games viewed.  In pass coverage, he is above average.  Displays good skills when the play is in front of him and can be very disruptive with his hands.  Good use of hands, can be physical with receivers in coverage without getting flagged for PI/holding.  Good backpedal and cover.  Displays good timing with his hands in pass breakups. Would like to see him develop into a harder hitter who can force fumbles and make plays.
