Isaiah Zuber, the former Patriot and Raider WR has returned to the USFL Houston Gamblers for the third time of his professional career as a defensive back. Zuber, the 26-year-old WR spent a few seasons with New England before his first stint with the USFL. In the three preseason games the 6-foot WR played in he recorded six receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown for the Patriots.
Isaiah Zuber went to the USFL in 2022 and did not disappoint, the shifty wide receiver recorded 22 receptions for 322 yards with five touchdowns. As a kick returner the speed showed 18 kick return attempts for 425 yards. This kid is a playmaker. Later on in 2022 Las Vegas gave the kid a chance as a defensive back. Zuber recorded an interception vs the New England Patriots, which was his former NFL team at the time.
In 2023, the former Las Vegas Raider and New England Patriot WR/DB returned back to the USFL with the Gamblers for a second stint. The WR would go on to catch 14 passes for 103 yards, Zuber would see some time on the special team unit and would record 18 kick returns for 442 yards.
In the present time the former NFL wide receiver / defensive back is getting yet another chance to perform in the USFL with the Houston Gamblers, this time as a defensive back. Expect the former WR to get some snaps on the offensive side of the ball.
