Georgia HS football player killed in hit-and-run while checking on an injured dog
Samuel Johnson Jr. was a standout high school football player for Valdosta High School who lost his life tragically.
Johnson Jr. was killed on December 9th, by a hit-and-run driver. The high school football player noticed an injured dog that was hit by a vehicle. When he was trying to help the injured dog, he was struck by another vehicle.
Valdosta police officers, firefighters and EMS responded to the area. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Through evidence collected at the scene, the offender’s vehicle was identified as a dark-colored Dodge Charger, between the years of 2011 and 2014.
