Pittman’s Pocket: FAMU dominated Prairie View
It looks like The FAMU Rattlers are heading to the HBCU National Championship!
It was a rainy day for FAMU but in a good way. The Rattlers hosted the challenging Prairie View A&M Panthers with Trazon Connley and it took a while for the Panthers highly powered balanced offense to get going. The Rattlers were to slick for the Panthers. FAMU running back Terrell Jennings ran all over the Panthers defense. He finished with 113 yards, winning MVP. Marcus Riley was electric, and Quarterback Jeremy Moussa came to play.
Chris Herron and Caleb Johnson had a combined 140 yards rushing for Prairie View. That was not enough though for the Panthers. The Panthers looked surprised by FAMU’s physicality through the whole game. Morgan picked Trazon off twice tonight which lead him to win defensive MVP.
FAMU won 35-14 and are heading to The HBCU National Championship game in Atlanta on December 16th against Howard University of the MEAC.
