Which coach has the hottest seat in the NFL?
We have already had two NFL head coaches fired this year. Both Josh McDaniels and Brandon Staley were fired by their teams after a horrendous start, and there are still several coaches on the hot seat right now.
I wanted to know which coach do you feel will be the next to be fired?
Arthur Smith, Atlanta Falcons – This weekend Terry Bradshaw lit up Arthur Smith for benching his quarterback Desmond Ridder, to try to salvage the season. Smith has to be on a short list, I am not sure if he is the hottest or not, but I feel the Falcons definitely need to move on from Smith. He is setting the team back. You have Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and a very good QB and you are not even getting them the ball.
Bill Belichick, New England Patriots – Somehow the Patriots are still getting some wins. There have been reports that the legendary coach is on the way out after the loss the Patriots experienced in Germany to the Colts. If he is out, I do not think he will be out of work for long. Belichick would be an amazing addition to the Chargers. Imagine giving Belichick a healthy Justin Hebert?
Ron Rivera, Washington Commanders – While Rivera is a good coach, the team seems to be going in a different direction. The coach has been trying to do what he can to get the Commanders in a good space but has failed miserably. The Commanders have new owners and could want to start with a brand new slate and a new coach. I think Rivera is as good as gone.
Matt Eberflus, Chicago Bears – Could Ryan Poles make a change at head coach? I mean the Bears are one of the weirdest teams in the NFL. They could have the first overall pick two years in a row. They traded out of the first pick last year adding DJ Moore and multiple draft picks. The Bears however did not do good with the added pieces. They could end up with two top ten picks and Justin Fields as trade bait. I mean I would definitely want a new coach, but who knows what Poles will do.
