Player Summary:

5th YR GR and 3 yr full-time starter on the OL where he aligns at LG in the zone and gap blocking scheme of MIUN. He possesses very good height, average weight and below-average speed with a powerful build. He is a solid athlete showing a combination of solid COD, explosiveness, acceleration, lateral quickness and agility with ordinary balance and sufficient play speed. He is a good run blocker. When asked to pull, he shows solid lateral quickness and agility to get to the perimeter while taking good angles before using his above-average play strength to seal off the EDGE creating a lane for the RB. On down blocks, he exhibits average UOH in his punch, placement and timing and generates movement at the point of attack with his solid foot drive against IDL with average physical toughness. He exhibits sufficient play speed when reaching to the second level on zone runs and is able to overpower LB with subpar AA. He displays good physical toughness as he finishes blocks to the ground against IDL with adequate size. In pass pro, he plays with a good, wide base and does a solid job of keeping his feet moving. He shows solid UOH delivering a well-timed punch to the frame of the IDL with ordinary length. He displays above-average play strength to anchor against IDL with average explosiveness. He exhibits average reactive athleticism as he picks up twists from IDL with subpar lateral quickness and agility twisting towards the opposite B gap. He plays with quality mental toughness as he elevates his play near the goal line while run blocking and in pass pro. If left unblocked, he does an average job of assisting C and T with their assignment. Below-average flexibility prevents him from bending at the knee. He exhibits ordinary balance which prevents him from consistently keeping his weight over his toes.

Scheme Fit:

OG in gap scheme due to his above-average ability to pull and seal off EDGE at the perimeter.

Power Statement:

Tough, intelligent player who is above-average as a run blocker and is solid in pass pro. UOH is better in pass pro. Struggles to bend at the knee but compensates with his above-average play strength and physical toughness.
