The 2-6 New England Patriots are looking to get a win vs the 3-5 Washington Commanders, Both teams to be in that Rebuild mode, this should be a good match up for both teams. New England didn’t do much at the trade deadline, While the Commanders traded Chase Young (DE) and Montez Sweat (DE) away. Now the Commanders are thin at the Defensive End position.

Patriots Offensive with Kayshon Boutte, What does it look like?

With the New England Patriots losing WR Kendrick Bourne for the whole season and with DeVante Parker dealing with a concussion that leaves a very slim amount of WR depth on the Patriots roster. JuJu Smith-Schuster and DeMario Pop Douglas are the only players who have seen multiple reps all season.

It is time for Bill Belichick to let the younger guys get more reps. The following players should see more snaps in the following weeks: Kayshon Boutte, Tyquan Thornton, and Jalen Reagor. Kayshon Boutte must be let out of the dog cage this week vs the Commanders, it’s time to give the young buck another chance.

Tyquan Thornton and Jalen Reagor, the two speedster should be used both on Offense and on Special teams. It is time for the speedy wideouts to get more chances.

New England will need to move the ball effectively vs the Commanders defense. Good Offensive line play should get New England the far way. Mac Jones and the Running backs will need to get a run game going vs this team. The passing game should be solid still, give the young guys some chances and see how it goes.

Patriots defense looks good ahead of match up vs Commanders, New DB Alex Austin signed to 53 man roster

The New England Patriots will need to shut down Sam Howell this week, the Commanders QB has had multiple good throws but has also had some tough questionable throws.  The Patriots will need to stop Terry McLaurin and Jahon Datson, both of the players are very talented WRs.

This should be a good game defensively if New England can stop Sam Howell and make him make questionable passes.

Meet New defensive back Alex Austin:

Age: 22

Height and Weight: 6-foot-1  195 pounds

College: Oregon State

40 Yard Dash: 4.55

Broad Jump: 10’ 2”

Drafted in Seventh Round: Buffalo Bills

Stats from 2022:

57 Tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, and 10 pass breakups.

The young Defensive Back is going to get a chance soon. This kid is going to be a good special teams/Nickel Defensive back. I got a feeling.

Karver’s Final Thoughts:

The New England Patriots are going against a tough opponent this week vs the Washington Commanders. This team has been putting up some very solid numbers all season, they just can’t pull off wins. New England’s defense will need to stop the high powered offense if they want to win this week.
