Player Summary:

Omar is a 5th-year senior who is a transfer from Northern Iowa, where he played 3 years, now at NEUN where he is in his 2nd year playing NB/S for the Cornhuskers. In his college career, he has started in 39 of 50 games without any impactful injuries. Omar has good height and weight, a firm athletic build with muscular long arms and good athletic ability with a combination of quickness, change of direction and maintaining balance. He displays solid FBI in identifying formations, adjusting to motions and relaying calls to make sure everyone is in the right place.  His processing ability allows him to play faster and cover more ground in the passing game.  He is quick out of his backpedal to trigger on swing passess and can process a bubble and break on it quickly and with authority. Omar has good competitive toughness both mentally and physically. He is asked to play in the box and take on blockers bigger and heavier. No moment is too big for him as he comes up big in high pressure moments. His ball skills are solid and his ability to reroute the receiver at the LOS is solid as he shows how strong he plays and his competitive aggressiveness. He takes good angles on tracking down balls in coverage and ball carriers.
