Former Vikings legend Jared Allen says it is time for the Vikings to move on from Kirk Cousins

The Minnesota Vikings landed a boost at first from Josh Dobbs after he came over via trade winning two games, but last week he threw four picks and lost to the Bears. With that being said, Jared Allen was on Up and Adams on ESPN to talk about his former team and the legendary pass rusher was pretty blunt.
Allen told Kay Adams that it is time the Vikings move on from Kirk Cousins the 35-year-old quarterback.
“You blow your Achilles at this point of your career. I mean, I think it’s a young man’s game; it’s going that way, I don’t know that you can invest that much more money to keep him. To be honest, I don’t think it has any bearing on his ability. But you’re going to come off an injury … you can’t pay him. That’s just it’s a no-brainer. You can’t pay him. I’m sorry. Kirk.”
You can hear it here. He was not taking a shot at Kirk, but saying the Vikings have to find a new quarterback because he does not think he will be able to return from the injury.
Cousins is not the problem in my opinion, and is 51-39-1 as a starter for the Vikes. Will the Vikings move on? More than likely, but someone can get a very good stop gap quarterback. The Patriots should look at him.
