Patriots sign Running back JaMycal Hasty, Waive Defensive Back Jack Jones on Monday

Written by Karver Jordan

The New England Patriots have signed 27-year-old Running back JaMycal Hasty and have Waived 2nd Year Defensive Back Jack Jones on Monday as they enter their bye week.

Jack Jones Waived

The Patriots have waived 2nd Year player Jack Jone due to attitude and choppy play on the field. The release is best for both parties moving forward, now the 25-year-old corner is now free to sign elsewhere. Jones’ time in New England has now ended after a short stint.

Head Coach Bill Belichick would talk about Jack Jones on Tuesday:

“Jack’s a talented player. He showed that when he played for us at times. In the end, I felt like we just needed to move on.”

Karver’s Final Thoughts:

The Patriots are looking for answers this season, I believe in the release of Jack Jones. We do not need any negative energy moving forward on this team. Jones was a great young corner who had a lot of potential but it didn’t work out.

I really love the JaMycal Hasty signing, you might as well bring in players and see what they can bring. JaMycal Hasty brings some good receiving traits and some speed too – Hopefully, the signing works out for both parties.
