97-year-old Iowa woman asks that you pray for Iowa football’s offensive blunders in her obituary
Iowa Football is everything to some, and Dr. B Eleanor Anstey would like people to say some prayers for Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
In an obituary posted on October 25th, 2023, for the 97-year-old Dr. Antsey made sure to put her team first. She asked people for prayer for her team’s offense, which has been horrible.
Her prayers must have worked, because Brian Ferentz will be out as OC once the season is over. The team has been horrible scoring just 19.5 points a game on average, and can barely score two times against the Big Ten teams.
Anstey would like to use the power of prayer to help turn things around for the Hawkeyes.
“In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice or simply say a prayer for the Iowa Hawkeyes offense on her behalf,” her obituary page reads for the closing line.
The obituary also encouraged people to wear their “favorite Iowa Hawkeye gear” to her funeral. This is pretty awesome. We lost an amazing football fan. Rest In Peace Doc!
