ESPN FPI College Football Rankings have Ohio State still number 1 after losing to Michigan

I think the FPI College Football Rankings need to go! After losing to Michigan in Michigan, Ohio State remains first on the rankings according to ESPN.
ESPN released their latest FPI rankings, that once again left fans scratching their heads as to why this new list didn’t reflect some of those close calls, or even losses. Here’s how the top 15 shapes out following week 13.
- Ohio State Buckeyes (11-1)
- Michigan Wolverines (12-0)
- Oregon Ducks (11-1)
- Penn State Nittany Lions (10-2)
- Georgia Bulldogs (12-0)
- Alabama Crimson Tide (11-1)
- Texas Longhorns (11-1)
- Oklahoma Sooners (10-2)
- Florida State Seminoles (12-0)
- LSU Tigers (9-3)
- Notre Dame Fighting Irish (9-3)
- Kansas State Wildcats (8-4)
- Washington Huskies (12-0)
- Texas A&M Aggies (7-5)
- Ole Miss Rebels (10-2)
The Buckeyes played a competitive football game, but the consensus is Michigan controlled the game from start to finish. Perhaps ESPN is factoring in the road environment, but still, it’s an odd outcome in ESPN’s computer rankings.
