What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Watching guys like Deion Sanders and display flair and swag on the field really motivated me to be just like him, he’s one of the guys I’ve looked up to my whole life.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Some of my favorite moments have been in big time games, when everything’s at stake and every snap is meaningful one of my favorite moments was against Washburn in the 2021 playoffs when I had 2 PBUs and one that I ripped out last second in the end zone.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
I’d say my 9 year old brother, he looks up to me as a role model so I try being the best version of myself everyday so he knows what a good example is.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
Right now we are currently awaiting who we will play in the second round of the playoffs, I want to win the national championship and become an All American.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
I’d say Jaire Alexander, I model my play style around him so I’d just want advice and tips from him that could take me to the next level and not just play in the next level, but dominate.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
I’d say man to man on an island, let’s see who’s the better player is me or the person who’s lined up in front of me.
What should we know about Ahmad Butler the person?
Hard worker, relentless attitude, who’s gonna show up to be a better version of myself than the day before, a guy who’s always looking for improvement and very critical of myself, so I can be the guy needed for my team in any aspect.
What stands out about your film the most?
Speed and athleticism, the ability to stick to receivers like glue and consistency.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
Head on, I like dealing with tough challenges and problems because it helps you grow as a football player and as a man.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A fierce competitor who’s constantly willing to learn, and a very coachable player, anybody willing to take a chance on me is getting a dog.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
What I love about football the most is doing all the hard things, there’s guys out there who can only play when everything is perfect, but only a select few can play when things get hard.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
One of the most underrated players I’ve played with is a guy named Orlando Henley, he lost a year of eligibility so people couldn’t see him showcase his talent but was a solid player, very physical and technically savvy on that football field.
