The Caribe Royale Orlando Hula Bowl will be played in Orlando, Florida on January 13th, 2024, and is televised on CBS Sports. The staff at NFL Draft Diamonds has worked for the past three years as the scouting staff for the Hula Bowl, and we are excited to get the 2023-24 season underway. With tons of great football games in the NCAA this week, we wanted to break down several of the Top Performers in the FBS that would have eligibility to play in our game. We are definitely watching and had scouts at 11 games this week around the country. Let’s break down some of the best performances from week 8.
AJ Barner, TE, Michigan – Barner has been used primarily as a blocking tight end but that was not the case in week 8. AJ Barner the former Indiana transfer had a great game hauling in 8 receptions for 99 yards and one touchdown.
Javon Baker, WR, UCF – Knights wide out Javon Baker had an amazing game against Oklahoma and former Knights QB Dillon Gabriel. Baker finished the game with 5 receptions for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU – Jayden Daniels had a very amazing week against Army, blowing out Army 62-0. Daniels finished with 3 touchdowns and 279 yards.
Blake Watson, RB, Memphis – Watson tore it up with 21 carries and 125 yards and 1 touchdown. Watson continues to shine week in and week out for the Tigers.
Javon Foster, OT, Missouri – Foster was Mizzou’s highest graded offensive lineman in the Mayor’s Cup win over South Carolina. He did not give up a sack, and the Tigers scored every time in the red zone.
