Ohio high school Queen candidate collapsed and dies during homecoming events at football game

An Ohio high school football game was cancelled at halftime on Friday night after a tragic death. A candidate for the homecoming queen Breanna McKean died during the homecoming festivities.
The high school senior collapsed and died on the field after being introduced as a Queen candidate.
Mapleton Local Schools Superintendent Scott Smith says Breanna McKean collapsed due to a medical emergency prior to the school’s football game against South Central.
The district canceled its homecoming dance, scheduled for Saturday night, and all athletic events until Oct. 4, Smith says.
Grief counselors will also be available to students on Monday, Oct. 2.
Please keep the McKean family in your prayers during this tragic time.
