One thing New England MUST do vs the New Orleans Saints
Written by Karver Jordan
The Patriots are in a must-win game vs the Saints, there are multiple things that New England has to do right vs the Saints loaded defense. I expect the Patriots defense to perform well vs New Orleans. Here is ONE thing the Patriots must do to win this game.
Mac Jones MUST bounce back
Mac Jones is coming off his worst NFL game of his whole career vs the Dallas Cowboys. Jones didn’t look great, he looked horrendous. Mac Jones completed 12 of his 21 passes for 150 yards with two interceptions and a strip sack fumble. Here is a little breakdown of his film:
- Mac Jones pocket time has been horrendous, the Offensive line has been crumbling way too early – this forces Mac to make really bad decisions.
Ways to fix it:
Throw the ball away, Make quicker decisions, and improve the ability to make Offensive Line adjustments.
- Mac Jones NEEDS to throw the ball sooner on slant/drag routes. He is taking WAY to long on it and it gives the defensive back time to catch up to speed.
Ways to fix it:
It is simple, just throw it sooner. Make a quicker read, this is an easy fix.
Karver’s Final Thoughts
Mac Jones needs to play better, if he plays well then New England will win this game. I expect New England’s defense to play very well vs the New Orleans Saints offense. Let’s go get a win this week!
