Player Summary:
RS SR and 1 yr full-time starter at QB where he operates the Spread offense of OKUN. He transferred from FLCE in ’23 where he was a 4 yr starter. He possesses poor height and weight with good speed and an athletic build. He is a solid athlete showing a combination of solid COD, balance, explosiveness, acceleration, lateral quickness and agility with solid top end play speed. He sets his feet and possesses a quick release before delivering the ball with good accuracy and timing on short and intermediate passes while in the pocket as he places the ball on the correct shoulder. He shows above-average arm strength as he shifts his weight to his front foot before stepping into the throw and delivers the ball with good velocity on out routes from the opposite hash. He displays solid poise in the pocket as he delivers the ball accurately with a blitzing LB in his face. He displays sufficient mobility as he uses his solid AA and play speed to pick up a first down on his own if his receivers are not open as well as on QB design runs. He exhibits very good leadership ability combined with good mental toughness as he orchestrates a game winning drive in the final minutes of the game against quality competition. He struggles to consistently see the entire field and will make half field reads. He exhibits subpar ability when throwing the deep ball as he puts too much air on the ball and overthrows WR with average play speed on go routes. He exhibits ordinary decision-making ability as he gets overconfident with his arm and will force the ball into tight windows as he threads the needle leading to incompletions. Below-average accuracy when throwing on the move as his accuracy declines significantly when passing the ball as he rolls out. He does a mediocre job of escaping the rush from LB/DL with good play speed who penetrate the LOS quickly.
