Player Summary:

A redshirt senior who is a three year starter playing on multiple positions on the defensive line. Has a big body with a thick frame that is filled out while possessing solid AA, thick arms and legs. Has played as an edge rusher on the interior as both a 5T and 3T. Strong first contact off the line using solid play strength and strong upper body strength. Solid UoH that uses various strikes and counters to win in one on one situations. Has solid block shed, is able to get leverage and drive his feet through a blocker. Has solid eyes that can distinguish run and pass plays. Solid gap integrity using his eyes and strength to maintain his assignment. Solid ability to take on double teams using his play strength and technique that is able to maintain his ground without losing yards. Has a high motor with solid pursuit that chases runners and quarterbacks and will play thru the whistle on every play. A solid technician that uses various ways to win in one on one situations.

Adequate explosiveness, does not explode off the ball or when finishing the play. That very twitchy and poor bend in his rushing attempts.

Scheme Fit:

See him as a 3T at the next level with his size and strength, is an intelligent and technique driven player that can use his play strength and motor that is a developmental rotational player early in his career.

Power Statement:

A future interior linemen who I would like to see how he plays against better competition to get a full look on his abilities. Has the ability to prove himself against higher level of competition that uses his skills to produce on the stat sheet.
