Player Summary:

Brule is a 6th-year senior who graduated and transferred from Mississippi State where he played 4 seasons and was a tackling machine for their defense. As an OLB, he has adequate height and weight with a very athletic build and displays adequate change of direction in small spaces and acceleration. Brule’s athleticism shines more as a blitzing LB as he is quick and uses his explosiveness to get to the QB in a hurry. He has played multiple positions on the field including 181 snaps on special teams. Brule is a highly competitive LB who has to play multiple LB positions in the Michigan State Defense. A very fluid athlete in space who can drop in zone coverage, play the RB out of the backfield, and still be a factor in run support. Solid processor on reading pulling linemen and any jet motion to or away. Displays marginal ball skills on any deep routes, but in short to intermediate routes he shows confidence in playing the ball and breaking up passes. Plays with adequate strength at the POA and solid UOH to attack the offensive player, shed the blocker, and make the play. More of a role player at Michigan State this past season, but should be one of the top defensive players for the Spartans.

Scheme Fit:

Higher projection  as an MLB in a 4-3 defense

Power Statement:

A smooth athlete in space that has the ability to run from sideline to sideline.  Quick with adequate strength and has played multiple positions. Potential to be a 4 down LB.
