Pittman’s Pocket: UAB dominated North Carolina A &T
North Carolina A&T just couldn’t keep up with the Blazers last night. UAB dominated the entire game against the HBCU football squad.
UAB Quarterback Jacob Zeno went 38/41 for 291 yards and 3 touchdowns with a QB rating of 75%. He had a great game last night.
UAB senior running back Jermaine Brown Jr, #1 was everywhere! He rushed for 40 plus yards and added an additional 33 yards off 4 catches, scoring 2 rushing touchdowns.
The only spark that North Carolina A&T really had was Kenji Christian and Wesley Graves both rushing for over 45 yards. May I add there O-line still has talent.
Lagrone #60 and Stewart #71 are solid lineman for the Aggies and Senior Linebacker BJ Turner had a solid performance against D1 competition with 14 tackles 9 solo, and 2.5 TFL.
Also Isaiah Jacobs the little brother of Las Vegas Raiders star running back Josh Jacobs was heavenly involved with the run game. He finished with 40 plus yards on 10 carries.
The senior T.J Jones #3 from Lake City, Florida had 2 catches for 41 yards as one of them we’re a touchdown. Tejhaun Palmer had a great night as well hauling in 4 receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown.
On Defense Jackson Bratten #2 the Linebacker balled out 12 tackles, 2 sacks with a FF.
In Conclusion, at the end of the day though it was a great debut for UAB Trent Dilfer, I too was very impressed with North Carolina A&T’s coach Vincent Brown Jr. He gave Aggie fans a great first impression, but ultimately The Blazers dubbed up yesterday scoring 35 over the Aggies of A&T’s 6 points.
