Pittman’s Pocket: Top Performer’s in the SWAC
There were good performances on both sides of the ball this week in the SWAC, and we wanted to recognize several of the players who had a great week 4.
- #2 Da’Carri Allen-Johnson the standout wide receiver at Bethune-Cookman had 4 receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown which went for 29 yards long.
- #5 Irvin Mulligan of Jackson State had a big game with 21 carries for 174 yards for 8.3 average yards and a touchdown.
- Isaac Peppers #13 from Jackson State had a big game with 6 tackles but 2.5 TFL and 1.5 in sacks.
- #4 AJ Bennett from Texas Southern had only 2 receptions but they were leading his team with 38 yards and a touchdown.
- #57 Lewis Matthews Grambling State had a field day with 11 tackles dominating fashion vs Texas Southern.
- #0 Isaiah Majors at FAMU 🐍 was a nightmare against the Hornets with 12 tackles with a Interception for a return for 40 yards.
- La’Darius Owens running back Texas Southern had 20 carries for 76 yards and averaged 3.8 yards per carry
