The New England Patriots will need to do two things vs. the Jets that will help their chances of winning. Here are Karver’s two biggest asks from the Patriots.

Starting Fast and Finishing Strong

This Patriots offense will need to step it up early on, the past two games from New England have been tough to watch because of how slow they’ve started. Bill O’Brien will need to figure out the offensive line struggles, the poor pass blocking has killed multiple drives for the Pats. Mac Jones has looked pretty solid these past couple of games, he has a very good Quarterback Rating of 88.3. Jones has proved he has changed these past two games, New England has found their QB of the future in the third-year quarterback – Most of the fanbase turned on him after the second year, but they’ve come back now. Let’s hope this Patriots team can start fast vs. the Jets.

Force Zach Wilson to make mistakes

This Patriots’ defense has been playing phenomenally vs. some top-tier teams, the game tomorrow should be a good game IF New England’s defense shows up to play then Zach Wilson should make some mistakes. This New England secondary will be tested because they need to cover Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, and Mecole Hardman; No Jonathan Jones for the Patriots for a second week in a row, that is a big loss for New England. Matthew Judon and the rest of the front seven will need to force loads of pressure on Wilson if they want to win this game, do not let the struggling QB rip apart this defense. All games are won by good defensive play, Bill Belichick has won 14 straight games vs. New York – it’s time for number 15.

Karver’s Final Thoughts

The Patriots have played good defensive football and will need to continue because of the Offensive struggles. I expect New England to get their first win of the season vs. the Jets in week three. Play good football, you will win football games. Let’s go.
