Former New England Patriots running back was arrested in Florida for trespassing
Dion Lewis the former star running back for the New England Patriots was arrested in Florida on Monday after he refused to leave a hotel and casino.
According to the Seminole Police Department, Dion Lewis was taken into custody by officers at around 2 PM at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa after he had allegedly been unruly and belligerent.
An police spokesperson said that Lewis had been accused of “causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the premises.”
The 32-year-old running back was booked on a misdemeanor charge of trespassing and was released on a 500 dollar bond.
Lewis scored 13 touchdowns in 19 games with the Patriots. The former Eagles draft pick was a star in New England alongside Tom Brady and company.
