Player Summary:

Undersized JACK Linebacker with a slim, wiry frame and a slight lower half. His growth potential is unclear, which leads to some concern about his maximum size and build. Boasts intriguing initial quickness and a sudden first step off the ball. Exhibits proficient athletic ability as a speed rusher from the 7 and 9 techniques. Fluid ankle/knee flexibility provides him with excellent leverage & pad level to bend the edge and run the arc at a high level. He works quick hands to keep offensive tackles from getting inside his frame while pressuring the quarterback. Solid lateral agility and foot speed to stunt/twist into interior gaps from the edge. Questionable pass-rush upside due to a lack of a diverse set of pass-rush moves and below-average play strength at the POA. Will bull rush a running back in the pass pro but does not have the knock-back or power to move offensive tackles off the spot. Also, he must improve his ability to time a snap count to avoid committing unforced errors at the next level. Quality straight-line speed and range to pursue the ball from sideline to sideline. Also possesses swift acceleration/burst and capable read & react ability. Sheds blocks well when engaged at the POA in the second level. Secure, physical tackler with high-contact courage in the backfield and open space. Displays adequate coverage ability from OLB and EDGE alignments. Drops to his zone efficiently with smooth mobility and great instincts but tends to lose track of his zone responsibilities when covering out-breaking, intermediate concepts towards the boundary. Flashes strong ball skills and sneaky playmaking ability when positioned to make a play on the ball. Experienced special teamer with the speed and athleticism to make an impact on kickoff and punt coverage.

Scheme Fit:

3-4 JACK or 4-3 WILL

Power Statement:

Jordan is a slender, athletic, and bendy speed rusher with notable initial quickness and lower-body elasticity to beat defenders to the spot. Undersized OLB/DE hybrid who has a low ceiling as a power rusher, but compensates with a constant motor, decent coverage skills, and compelling TFL & sack production.
