Dedich is a redshirt senior from CASC and has played there for the last four seasons. Plays the Guard position with versatility to play Center in CASC’s Air Raid offensive scheme. Has adequate height, adequate weight and adequate speed to play the position. Has good athletic ability with quick feet, play quickness, play speed, movement and flexibility. Has a good FBI to recognize defensive fronts and good knee bend to get into his stance. Good initial quickness with good movement on ball and quickness after start. Good ability as a pulling guard showing good initial movement, making contact and following through. Good run block on the move to cut off linebackers and make open field blocks. Solid pass blocking, showing solid ability to set base and sustain feet. Solid protection vs. stunts and twists. Solid ability to sustain all blocks. Adequate explosion as a run blocker with below-average strength and hip roll. Lacks physical punch to get into defenders. Adequate hand speed to get hands into position to block for pass. Lacks anchor and balance in pass protection. Dedich will have to add more weight to his athletic frame to go up against the good competition at the next level.
