Raiders should fire Josh McDaniels | His decision to kick a field goal down 8 from inside the ten was horrible
I sat up last night watching the Las Vegas Raiders play the Pittsburgh Steelers, and I was so damn confused.
I would be pissed if I was a Raiders fan. Jimmy G rallied the troops and got them down inside the 10 yard line, and the Raiders decided to kick a field goal. The Raiders were 8 yards away from a touchdown and 8 points away from a tie game.
McDaniels said after the game:
“Those are the decisions you’ve got to make,” McDaniels said.
He added, “I thought we put ourselves in third down there the next series with the defense to try to have a play to get off the field, and we just didn’t handle that play very well … You’re going to need another possession anyway, you know what I mean? So it’s not a lack of confidence. We went for it [on fourth down] multiple times.”
That is not good enough for me. Here is him responding.
The Raiders fans deserve better, they were in that game, and were rallying. I am shocked they decided to take three points. It made no sense.
