The tables have turned | What is the next best option for the New York Jets?

With much anticipation and excitement for Monday Night Football, many of us looked forward to watching the New York Jets. But as of this morning according to Ian Rapoport, future hall of famer Aaron Rodgers has torn his Achilles in week one against the Buffalo Bills.

Rodgers was on his fourth play when he was sacked for a loss. Rodgers took second on the ground where things did not appear to be good. When Rodgers stood up he began to hobble around. The stadium was at its quietest as many of them had so much anticipation and hoped that he would be ok. Aaron Rodgers was carted off and was ruled out for the remainder of the game. It wasn’t until this morning that it was confirmed he completely tore his Achilles.

Now many are questioning the next step of the New York Jets. The questions for the team consists of, will Aaron Rodgers come back next year, do we continue with Zach Wilson, and what Quarterbacks could we bring in that fit the system that was built around the hall of fame superstar.

The Jets were able to pull off a miracle last night with Zach Wilson, winning 20-17. Wilson was 18 of 25 for 154 yards and one touchdown. Overall it wasn’t a too shabby night for Wilson coming off the bench and not expecting these unfortunate events to happen. The mentoring from Aaron Rodgers this offseason seems to have paid off as he pulled off a clutch situation to help the team win.

Head Coach Robert Saleh and General Manager Joe Douglas have a tough decision this week and moving forward.
