Pittman’s Pocket: What top prospect is willing to play at an HBCU?
There is no other perfect time for a Big Name recruit to attend an HBCU program than now.
What Player is willing to commit to playing at a HBCU without a big name Head Coach?
I believe there is still a player that can innovate a coaches philosophy at the HBCU level up on to the next level. Yes, Travis Hunter is the first but like Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier, who will continue to break the narrative now the Scope is not so big going HBCU to play football.
I remember seeing a huge amount of Junior College prospects going D1, after one year and making that transition as an generational talent prospect such as Cam Newton and Cordarrelle Patterson, but now it is being undermine due to the transfer portal.
Will the prospect willing to commit to the program and compete year after year of eligibility as a Freshman, Sophomore and Junior against FBS competition so when conference play takes place, there are no questions if the kid can make it to the next level.
